Massage & Bodywork

Cybil received her initial 200 hour certification from The Body Therapy Institute (BTI) in Santa Barbara, CA, in 1999, studying under Katie Mickey. In 2009 she returned as a Level 1 Assistant and continues to do occasional coaching for students at BTI. She has also studied Deep Tissue with Matt Lynch and Thai Massage with Michael Gibian at Santa Barbara Bodyworks. From 2005-2006 she studied DEEP BODYWORK at The Esalen Institute, in Big Sur, California with Perry and Johanna Holloman. She continues to study DEEP BODYWORK with her talented partner, Paul Wehrman and dear friend, Rob Wilks as they travel out of Esalen to share the finely crafted and considered techniques. In addition, she received Thai Massage and Foot Massage certificates from The Loi Kroh School of Massage, in Chiang Mai, Thailand (2010).  In 2016 Cybil became certified in AROMATOUCH, and began working with the healing benefits of certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils in her practice. 

Working modalities include but are not limited to, Swedish, Deep Tissue, DEEP BODYWORK, Thai, Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology and Esalen-inspired massage. All modalities are skillfully and lovingly balanced together for a session that supports deep unwinding and therapeutic healing of body, mind and spirit.

Cybil has had a thriving private practice since 2000 as well as practicing at Le Reve Organic Spa, La Playa Pilates and Wellness, SB Training, Santa Barbara Athletic Club, Centerpoint Pilates, Simpatico Pilates and Gyrotonic, and The Spa Alliance of Santa Barbara (servicing the world famous San Ysidro Ranch and other fine Central Coast boutique hotels).
